PTA Workshops
Being a parent isn't easy these days. Life just seems busier when compared to the days when we were kids. There's good news and bad news in recognizing this. The good news is that the reason why we're this busy is because our generation has learned a great deal about what are many if not most of the factors involved in raising happy, healthy and productive children. The bad news is that there is so much information, much of it misinformation, that parents and teachers are overwhelmed and don't know where to begin.
Who We Are:
DeepBlue has assembled a team of doctors, researchers, and practitioners all committed to helping parents help their children. No gathering of people with such experience, education and hands-on work with children and their parents has ever been assembled for the purpose of providing help.
How We Can Help:
Through PTA’s in San Diego County, DeepBlue offers customized parenting workshops that address the issues that beset families and children in elementary, middle, and high schools. DeepBlue exists to take the mystery out of raising extraordinary children and present information in practical, easy to use, hands-on activities that are guaranteed to increase children’s performance in school as well as increase their overall sense of well-being. In short, DeepBlue is a one-stop solution for parents with children in grade school middle school, and high school who need a little help along the way.
What You Can Expect:
Once the PTA identifies the topic(s) that are most important to them, Dr. James R. Rivet meets with your PTA committee to schedule your workshop(s). These workshops can take place before school, during school, or after school, and can last anywhere from 1 hour to a full-day. In the weeks leading up to the workshop, participants begin emailing the DeepBlue Team of experts any questions that they would like answered during the workshop in order to ensure its relevancy.
Depending on the number of topics identified, Dr. Rivet and the DeepBlue Team come to the school and conduct the interactive workshop by sharing not only the latest research pertaining to the topics, but practical hands-on activities that reinforce learning.
